DC STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION TO DISCUSS A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE ESEA WAIVER;  WAYS TO STRENGTHEN ITS POLICY REVIEW AND ADOPTION PROCESS

Washington, DC – The District of Columbia State Board of Education (State Board) will hold a working session on October 1, 2014 at 4:30pm to discuss a proposed amendment to the recently-extended ESEA Flexibility Waiver.

In addition, the State Board will discuss ways to strengthen its policy review and adoption process, along with other Board-development activities.

The working session will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 4:30pm at 441 4th Street NW, Room 842.

A portion of the meeting may be closed for the State Board to consult with their legal counsel.

While working sessions are open to the public, individuals and representatives of organizations are not permitted to speak or participate during the working session. However, individuals and representatives of organizations may submit written testimony for consideration by the State Board. Written testimony may be submitted by email at [email protected].
