DC STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION ENCOURAGES RESIDENTS TO PROVIDE COMMENTS ON THE DISTRICT’S ESEA FLEXIBILITY WAIVER RENEWAL

Washington, DC – The District of Columbia State Board of Education (State Board) encourages all District residents to attend the Office of the State Superintendent of Education’s first stakeholder meeting on the ESEA Flexibility Waiver renewal on Monday, January 26, 2015 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm at 810 First Street NE, 3rd Floor.

As the District of Columbia was offered an opportunity to renew its ESEA Flexibility Waiver for a three-year period, through the 2017-2018 school year, the State Board believes it is vital that the District’s residents be involved in the process of reviewing and updating the District’s accountability structure for schools.

To RSVP, please visit: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/dc-esea-waiver-renewal-process-first-stakeholder-meeting-tickets-15169566582.
