State Board to Discuss PARCC, ESSA, and Student Health Data

Washington, DC - The DC State Board of Education (SBOE) will hold its first meeting of the school year on September 7, 2016 at 5:00pm to discuss a number of important topics. The meeting will be held at 441 4th St NW in Room 1114. Please note that 5:00pm will be the start time of SBOE working sessions for the remainder of the school year.

At this working session, the SBOE will hear from the Office of the State Superintendent for Education on the recently released Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) exam results, learn about the District’s data from the Youth Risk Behavior Survey and continue its work related to the Every Student Succeeds Act.

The working session is open to the public. However, individuals and representatives of organizations are not permitted to speak or participate during the working session. Individuals and representatives of organizations may submit written testimony for consideration by the Board. Written testimony may also be submitted by email at sboe.dc.gov.
