Ms. Yolanda Corbett, a native Washingtonian, was born and raised in Southeast, DC. She is a devoted mother of three, proud Ward 7 resident, community advocate and current co-chair of PALS (Parent Advocate Leaders Group), an organization dedicated to assisting families of children with special needs to obtain the resources needed for their family member(s). Ms. Corbett is also a strong parent advocate within many other organizations such as PAVE (Parents Amplifying Voices in Education), an orgaization that aims to shift the dynamic so that education is made by parents, not for them and IPC (Inclusive Prosperity Coalition) an organization that is commited to assuring that the educational rights of children with disabilities are met in the District of Columbia. It is in this position that Ms. Corbett's dedication to children and their families has become the hallmark of her service.
