Celine Fejeran joined Raise DC in January 2015. As Deputy Director, she provides leadership in cultivating and overseeing initiatives related to Raise DC’s five citywide goals, advising the Executive Director on areas for expansion, and ensuring quality implementation of Change Networks. Fejeran also spearheads the Graduation Pathways Project, which aims to improve citywide high school completion rates.
Previously, she served as a Senior Policy Advisor in the DC Office of the Deputy Mayor for Education, where she co-founded the city’s first youth ReEngagement Center, supported the launch of Raise DC, and executed a first-time diagnostic of student high school outcomes across DC Public Schools and public charter schools. Fejeran also served as a Policy Analyst for the DC Alliance of Youth Advocates, where she collaborated with member nonprofits, government agencies, and elected officials to enhance workforce development opportunities for youth.
Celine began her career in public education as an AmeriCorps member and then as a 4th grade teacher in DC Public Schools. She holds a master’s degree in education policy from the George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree from the American University.
