Erin Ward Bibo oversees Career Education and College & Career Preparedness Programming for the District of Columbia Public Schools. Prior to joining DCPS, Dr. Bibo served as Director of Policy and Planning for Postsecondary and Career Education for the Office of the State Superintendent of Education, the District’s State Education Agency. In this capacity, she wrote and initiated the implementation of the District’s Career and Technical Education Strategic Plan and Dual Enrollment policies. She also previously worked as Assistant Director of Degree Programs at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Bibo earned her Ph.D. in Education Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park, and her Master’s in Education Policy from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education. She lives in Ward 6 with her husband, David, and children Anna, Natalie, and Charlie.
