Washington, DC-- As the coronavirus outbreak continues to spread globally, the State Board is taking the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our members, staff, and public. Guidance from the mayor recommends that non-essential gatherings be postponed or canceled and has encouraged agencies to adjust their operating status to permit telework and social distancing if possible.  

SBOE Hears From Social Studies Panel at Public Meeting

Washington, DC- The DC State Board of Education (SBOE) will hold its monthly public meeting on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 5:30 pm in the Old Council Chambers at 441 4th St. NW. The State Board is very excited to hear from a panel of teachers, students, and residents that will testify on the social studies standards in their schools.
