The D.C. State Board of Education created a working group to review and propose changes to its level of authority. This group, composed of Representatives Thompson (Ward 7), Goulet (Ward 3) and Henderson (Ward 5), will be active from December 1, 2024, to March 15, 2025. By the end of this period, they aim to draft legislation and submit it to the D.C. Council for consideration.
