SR25-8 Calling for Public Funding for the Public Charter School Athletic Association

The State Board calls for funding— through the pooling of public charter LEA Uniform Per Student Funding Formula (UPSFF) allocations—a minimum of two full-time paid Public Charter School Athletic Association positions, safety and security, championships and associated awards, and any other operational costs by school year 2026-2027 at the earliest. Schools would pay based on how much they join in. The Board also calls for leaders to help schools decide how much to give and to work together to find more space for sports as more students join public and charter schools.
