DC State Board of Ed to Discuss Amendments to the District's Accountability System and ESEA Waiver, Graduation Requirements

DC STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION TO DISCUSS AMENDMENTS TO THE DISTRICT’S ACCOUNTABILITY SYSTEM AND ESEA WAIVER, GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

Washington, DC – The District of Columbia State Board of Education (State Board) will hold a working session to review issues coming before the State Board. The following issues will be covered at this meeting:

  • ESEA Waiver Amendments and Report Cards Update (OSSE Presentation): The State Board will ask questions about OSSE's plans to amend the ESEA Waiver and update the District's State and LEA Report Cards.
  • Graduation Requirements (SBOE Discussion): The State Board will discuss next steps in approving revised graduation requirements.

A portion of the meeting may be closed for the State Board to consult with their legal counsel.

The working session will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 4:30pm at 441 4th Street NW, Room 1117.

While working sessions are open to the public, individuals and representatives of organizations are not permitted to speak or participate during the working session. However, individuals and representatives of organizations may submit written testimony for consideration by the State Board. Written testimony may be submitted by email at [email protected].
