DC State Board of Education to Discuss Revisions to LEA Report Cards June 5

Washington, DC – The District of Columbia State Board of Education (State Board) will hold a working session to hear a presentation from the Office of the State Superintendent of Education on revised LEA report cards. The State Board is responsible for approving the categories and format of the annual report card, pursuant to the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001.
    
At the conclusion of this discussion, in accordance with the Open Meetings Act (D.C. Code § 2-574), the State Board will close the second portion of its meeting so that the Board members can receive training revising the State Board’s mission statement as well as receive updates on hiring new personnel for the Office of the State Board.

The working session will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 4:30 pm at 441 4th Street NW, Room 1112.

Individuals and representatives of organizations will not be permitted to speak or participate during the Working Session. However, individuals and representatives of organizations may submit written testimony for consideration by the Board. Written testimony may also be submitted by email at [email protected].
