State Board to Discuss Teacher Attrition

Date Released:
Mon, 10/07/2019

Washington, D.C. - The D.C. State Board of Education (SBOE) announces an opportunity for members of the public to present their views on teacher attrition at its Wednesday, October 23, 2019 public meeting. Teachers leave classrooms for many reasons, including moving out of the area, changing roles within a school, or moving to another school. Until last year, no information was available in a consolidated public report that showed the amount of movement of teachers in the District of Columbia.
