Washington, DC- The DC State Board of Education (SBOE) will hold its final working session of the year on December 7, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. to discuss a number of important topics. The meeting will be held at 441 4th St NW in Room 1112.

As introduced, this bill updates the authority and responsibilities of the Office of the Public Education Ombudsman and the Office of the Student Advocate. It also makes changes to the Public Education Reform Amendment Act of 2007 to bring the law into conformity with federal requirements.

SBOE approved final Credit Flexibility Regulations during our Public Meeting on March 16, 2016. This critical step created flexibility beyond the time-based Carnegie unit for students to earn high school credit.
