DC Office of the Ombudsman for Public Education and Office of the State Superintendent of Education Announce New DC Special Education Hub to Help Families Demystify Special Education

Washington, D.C.—Today, the DC Office of the Ombudsman for Public Education, in partnership with the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), announced the launch of the DC Special Education Hub, a new initiative to support families with students attending public schools in the District of Columbia connect with information and resources about special education and demystify the special education process.

State Board Invites OSSE to Provide Updates on Social Studies Standards

Washington, D.C.—The D.C. State Board of Education (SBOE) will hold its monthly working session on Wednesday, February 1 at 5:00 p.m. The working session will be held in-person; however, in-person attendance will be limited to members and staff of the State Board, as well as invited guests.

State Board Hears from Healthy School Facilities Panel  

Washington, D.C.—The D.C. State Board of Education (State Board) will hold its monthly public meeting on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. The public meeting will be held in-person in the Old Council Chambers in the Marion S. Barry, Jr.
